Well, the Corona Apocalypse has suddenly gotten a lot more real in Albuquerque. With 6 confirmed cases, the governor decided to close schools for the next 3 weeks. At my job there is talk of asking everyone to work from home. We were taking bets today on whether that would happen by Monday or not.
Crystal and I took all this as a hint to start panic buying, so we went to Walmart to join the fun. It’s interesting to note what people buy up and what they leave. The canned goods and paper products were cleaned out. Most everything else was still there in some reasonable quantity. Reminds me of the verse, “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. But don’t harm the olive oil and wine.”
